Hemsted Developments was formed in May 2010 by property professionals Vicky Risebrow, Michael Rodhe and Martin Greensted.

It started with a passion for property...

Vicky has always had a passion for property and has been developing on a personal level for many years, as has Michael Rodhe, who has worked in the US for over 20 years in a wide range of building disciplines but principally carpentry and timber-frame buildings.

Since returning to the UK, Michael has continued to develop and expand his skills in all aspects of building (both standard and non-standard construction). This has given him the ability to take a fully hands-on approach throughout the entire build process, with the knowledge and understanding to manage and oversee all the work that is carried out.

With the changes in the economic environment, diversification became essential and Vicky was invited to help out with a small project. Her first client was so impressed with the high-quality finish, attention to detail and overall approach of their service and work that she commissioned them for another project in which she enlisted the help of Michael.

They soon found that recommendations and word-of-mouth meant that work was coming in faster, and they needed to bring in someone to help develop a company.

Building a business...

Having worked in the financial services industry all his life, Martin Greensted now runs Paxton Associates. With an interest in property, including his own portfolio, a background in running a successful business and a strong work ethic, he was the ideal candidate. From dealing with the growth of the business and the ongoing changes in the building industry to maintaining health and safety and managing costs and budgeting, Martin's expertise has been instrumental to the company's growth.

And so Hemsted Developments was formed, creating a strong brand identity and encompassing all their strengths to present a united partnership and a successful business.
